Welcome to the Art Gallery of

SerGiotto Artist

Sergio Viscardi, aka SerGiotto, is an international sculptor and painter who plays with art, proposing four-dimensional works that “come out” of the painting, as an extension of the thought that wants to strike the viewer. he loves to experiment and “play” with different materials, wood, plaster, cardboard, various objects, even banknotes, creating very original works, often denouncing a corrupt society and slave to consumerism. A multifaceted and very prolific artist, he uses various techniques for his paintings, from classic oil color to pastels and more, adding cuts or material thickness to his canvases, sometimes using both, he creates dialogues between imagination and emotionality, articulating his artistic production in a multivision of content and symbolic elements.
For SerGiotto, contemporary conceptual art is pure expression of the soul, without which - he says - it would not be art.
The artist proposes a series of works that are part of the series “From the Fourth Dimension,” which involve the viewer in a direct and decisive way, also by means of the strong emotional impact of the conceptual synthesis, expressed through figurative groups of images with intense metaphorical connotations. The reflection on the vain frenzy of modern society, often selfish and cruel, and on the human condition, gripped by loneliness and deceived by the false vainglory of earthly ambitions, strikes the viewer in an immediate way, thanks to the combination of vivid chromaticism and spatial projection.
Sergio Viscardi was born in Rome and received his Artistic Maturity in 1973 and a then followed his studies in the Faculty of Architecture to then pursue, in addition to Painting and Graphics, the path of Cinema and Television.
In the field of Graphic Design, his creations are notable, leading him to create more than 130 vinyl record covers and the creation of graphics and CD booklets for many international musicians among which the name of Maestro Ennio Morricone stands out. Some of the vinyl record covers made by Sergio Viscardi have become cult hits worldwide.
